Title: an Image Collection
Post by: Sean Stratton on March 27, 2002, 01:29:59 AM
I have a rather large Family digital Photo album and I am looking for a way to put them all on line. 2000+ pictures in directories of about 20 pictures sequentialy named.
Is there a RPM that could do this easily

I don't know about "easy", but Gallery works good on my site, then again I have less then 50 pictures right now.  For a test drive of Gallery you can see mine at http://www.brummell.net/gallery
As for a How-To, go here:

Gallery and the how-to are very easy to use.  The learning curve is pretty flat.  I have used it on my site.

I agree with the rec. for Gallery. The how-to from Dan Brown is perfect.
One additional bit you might like is the Gallery Remote, which allows for very easy uploading of the pictures to existing albums from a client pc. Even tho there is upload capability built into the server side, if you are moving lots of pic's, it will make for a much, much easier task. It's listed on the gallery website.
