Title: Adding color to the email text in Webmail
Post by: Sankar on April 02, 2002, 12:17:46 PM
All,

Has anybody tried to add color to the email text in Webmail???
While replying to a email I would like the users to add colors to the
email text. Is there a addon where users can select the color attribute to
     the email text???

   Help appreciated.

AFAIK, the only way to do this (in an open standards kind of way, not like the way AOL tries to do it) would be to send the email as HTML, which IMHO is NOT a good idea. I also don't believe that IMP will allow it either.

My suggestion is if you feel the need to color part of a message, create a file (like a M$ Word document) and format it in that application. Then send that file as an attachment in an email.

Correct; IMP doesn't support composing HTML mail (nor, by default, reading it).
