Greetings!
Is there anywhere a SME-Server running on a VIA ESP processor? The new VIA mini-itx mainboard looks great, and i ask me if it is possible to use it in a server.
Thanks to all, Ewald

Yes it should be possible.
I'm also looking at the new mini-itx form factor to base for a design on a e-smith based gateway box.
Check out this link for more info.

As am i. I am sorely tempted to go out and buy one just to see. Pricing is cheap, and it would make a nice little entertainment device if there where too many problems.
I guess my concerns would be:
No floppy - which probably would only be a problem for rescue type work.
The availability of cases for the motherboard - no advantage to the pricing of the system if the case cost a ton.
How well SME picked up the onboard LAN (and perhaps the Audio - i have some ideas for music on hold services for my customers telephone systems)
I know a guy that builds Linux firewalls for his customers using Via chips and Asus
mother boards and i suspect he might be onto this one, so ill shoot off an email and see what hes up to.
