Title: remote office proxy setup
Post by: stitch on April 05, 2002, 03:19:28 AM
hi y'all,

Here's a quick scenario:

head office:

DNS server, DNS suffix: company.com
DHCP server: 192.168.10.0 address range
Proxy server
Intranet server
client IE configured for home page "http://intranetsite", NOT "http://intranetsite.company.com", and proxy settings - proxy on port 80 and bypass proxy for intranetsite

Remote office:

SME v512 server dialing in to router in HO - receives a routable, internal IP address
server: e-smith.company.com
DHCP range: 10.0.0.0

How should I configure the remote site (client IE and SME) so that clients mimic HO client browser behaviour ie. they bypass the HO proxy for http://intranetsite and authenticate to the proxy for internet access.

hope this is clear.

thanks,
stitch
