Title: ISA ethernet cards

Hi.
I just was wondering if the thing ware this won't support isa ethernet cards was a redhat thing or an e-smith thing.

You can use ISA cards (but doesn't autodetect etc - this is an ISA thing). SME is designed to have a simple install so doesn't support ISA cards per se. PCI cards are much simpler.

There is a section in the FAQ that points to a post by Dan Brown on installing ISA cards @ http://www.e-smith.org/faq.php3#5q9. Or you can search these forums for ISA NICS and find plenty of information. When following this you will need to know the irq and io address that the ISA cards are set to and you must have PNP turned off.

I'm flattered to see my name attached to this, but it isn't my work--the article in question seems to have been written by a Randy Brown.

I wrote what was in the FAQ and then looked in the article. Made me wonder if you had changed your name (not Randy anymore, just hopeful.....)
