Title: PPTP connection freezing

I have a SME V5.1.2 box behind a Smoothwall firewall, the firewall forwards PPTP traffic to the SME box. I have tried connecting via PPTP to e-smith using Win 95, Win 98 and 2000 and ALL display the same problem. Connection is fine, I can log on using SSH and work for hours but as soon as I leave the connection for more than 2-3 minutes without any traffic ALL sessions freeze and I have to frop the connections and re-establish.

I have the latest blades installed.

I am using the latest 1.4 DUN.

I am connecting to the Internet using an ISDN router, I have checked to make sure that the IP address does NOT change. I have also connected with dial up modems and get the same problems.

When SSH freezes, all PPTP traffic stops, ie I can not use any any of the browser interfaces to e-smith and all destinations behind the PPTP connection become unreachable.

Any suggestions?

it sounds like a router timeout..?
