Title: OnStream DI-30 Howto
Post by: Kelvin on April 15, 2002, 05:38:17 AM
Hi all,

I've just submitted my first draft of a How-to to install and use the OnStream DI-30 drive in SME 5.1.2 to documentation@e-smith.com. For those who have been trying to use the OnStream Drive in their SME servers, please have a go and let me know how I can refine the process / how-to.

Cheers,

Kelvin

Hi funx,

I've been aware of the kernel patch for quite a while. However, most SME users like me are reluctant to recompile the kernel. My How-To uses the OnStream recommended method of using ide-scsi and osst and does not require a kernel recompile.

Thanks.

Sorry but I'm unable to find the How-To Kelvin is talking about on either e-smith.org or e-smith.com. I'm very interested in this document, could someone point me to the correct url?

Hi Sybrand,

Mitel hasn't put it up yet. However, Rob Heaton was going to put up a copy of the how-to at his web site as well (http://www.northwestlinux.co.uk).

I am in the middle of some projects and will look at putting up my own copy of the how-to at my company site a little later.
