Title: ibay - 403 unauthorized error
Post by: Steve on April 18, 2002, 09:36:27 AM
I setup the ibay "test1".  I configured it

Group=everyone
Read=group;write=admin
public ftp=no
dynamic scripts=yes

I'm trying to access http://192.168.0.1/test1/ from
my local computer at 192.168.0.2 and
am receiving a 403 authorization required error.
I previously setup an ibay without problems.  Has
anyone heard of this?  (I currently do not have any
other ibays setup and have tried reinstalling the ibay)

You need a public-ftp option set: either local or Internet or both. Without it, the i-bay cannot be accessed through a web browser.

It's not just public FTP Steve said no to. The option is called "Public access via web or anonymous ftp".

Thanks Urirama!
I didn't see the part about it being an
option for web along with AnonFTP.
After changing it, the ibay works fine.
