Title: Any plans to include Anti-SPAM Measures?
Post by: Sergio Korlowsky on April 24, 2002, 12:46:20 AM
I have been loooking into applying some measures for preventing
the amount of SPAM/UCE that arrives to our email servers
every single day.

There is this little application TMDA, I would like to try,
the problem is that it depends on Lib Python, not included with
current e-smith 5.1x.
And that once you start messing with libraries its almost certain
you will find some sort of dependancy problems and conflicts.

Reason why I ask.. Is there ANY application already available
for e-smith [SME] (open Sourde) preferably to do this?
Or plans to include some measures in the near future..?

TMDA is an OSI certified software application designed to
significantly reduce the amount of SPAM/UCE (junk-mail)
you receive.

TMDA combines a "whitelist" (for known/trusted senders),
a "blacklist" (for undesired senders), and a cryptographically
enhanced confirmation system (for unknown, but legitimate
senders).

python (= 2.2), rpmlib(PayloadFilesHavePrefix) (<= 4.0-1),
rpmlib(CompressedFileNames) (<= 3.0.4-1)
