Post by: Marvin Skeete on April 28, 2002, 08:55:49 AM
Hi All:

Has anyone been able to get SME Server to work with an existing NT Domain or Active Directory Domain...for Single Logon

Hi!,

I'm not sure but I think that Active directory is supported in Samba 2.2.3+
Darell May has a HOW-TO on upgrading samba at his site: http://myezserver.com/downloads/mitel/contrib/samba-2.2.3-a/

Hope this helps,
Rob.

Hi,

To use a NT domain controller as a authentication server, you have to adjust the smb.conf for this purpose.

Take a look at this document:
http://www.star-support.com/downloads/mitel/howto/sambadocs/Integrating-with-Windows.html

and look for section: Use MS Windows NT as an authentication server

As always, use templates instead of adjusting the original files.

guestHH
