A simple question...
What is the standard port number of the gateway?
ip: 192.168.1.1 port: ????
-
for what application?
each piece uses a different port
like if you are trying to hit the proxy server/squid, then the answer is 192.168.1.1:3128, cause squid uses port 3128
if you want to see the e-smith-manager you could put 192.168.1.1:980 into a browser and once you authenticate, then you get the manager
so i guess the answer is it depends on where you need to put that gateway ip address into. do you mean into a windows client pc network properties?
more info please :)

3128 was the port number I needed...
Thanks a lot!

If you are refering to the external gateway IP. That is supplied by your ISP,DSP or Cable provider.
