Post by: Jean-Philippe on April 30, 2002, 03:55:55 PM
Hi there,

I've just released an Unreal Tournament Server on SME 5.1.2 Howto: if you're interested go to http://www.cyber-euskadi.com/howtos/Howto%20Install%20Unreal%20Tournament%20Server%20on%20SME%205.1.2.htm.
I'm sorry if this has been released before... I'm waiting for your comments...

OK I hit a problem.

[root@borg files]# Stopping Unreal Tournament: /home/e-smith/files/ibays/unreal/files/ut-server/ucc.init: kill: (32249) - No such pid
ucc.init
Starting Unreal Tournament: ucc.init
mkdir: cannot create directory //.loki': Permission denied
mkdir: cannot create directory //.loki/ut': No such file or directory
mkdir: cannot create directory //.loki/ut/System': No such file or directory
./ucc: //.loki/ut/install_dir: No such file or directory
./ucc-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libX11.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I know its somthing to do with file protection (I think).

Any help would be welcome

Sean

Hi there,

This has nothing to do with file protection : it only means you don't have some required shared files...
Just type :
rpm -Uvh ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/redhat/updates/7.1/en/os/i386/XFree86-libs-4.1.0-15.i386.rpm
Then launch the start command from / (cd /), not from any other place...
Please come back and tell us if your server is up and running !!!

Try disabling your Ibay's password, that should solve the problem...
