Title: Restrict ftp access
Post by: derek on May 03, 2002, 08:29:32 AM
Does anyone know how to limit a users access only to the their home dir.
I see that it logs the user on to the home dir for them but they can go up dir and see the dir above that. They of course cant see the contents but are able to view file names. Any thoughts on preventing this..

Thanks

Try setting noread, nowrite, noexecute flag for users on /home/e-smith/files/users

chmod should do the trick
