ok, i went and setup a SME server. I tried to make one of the folders in a i-bay offline. Only about half the files synced the rest are incomplete, did you need to do anything to the samba config?
Thanks

I was a bit premature in recommending that you use offline folders. At first it all seemed ok although it told me it couldn't sync database files which is to be expected. Then I noticed (after a few days) that when I logged off there was a delay before it even started syncing the files. Windows 2000 was slow and sometimes deleting say a shortcut off the desktop could take up to 1 minute. I disabled offline folders and still had problems until I rebooted bothe th SME and the Win2k.Everything then appeared to work ok. So then I tried offline folders again and this time I had errors telling me that most of the folders couldn't be synchronised and also my hanging and delayed responses returned.
