Title: Redirecting port 25
Post by: Alejandro on May 16, 2002, 05:03:01 AM
Hi again!
is thereany way to redirect port 25 to another port, in order to receive smtp traffic through another port?
something (or somebody) is blocking my port 25 from outside and I dont know why.
mi isp tells me that my port 25 is open but it isnt true,  so i need an urgent way to  bypass this problem....
any help would be very apreciated.
many thanks in advance.
Alejandro

My ISP is doing something similar here in Ottawa, Canada.

They want ALL SMTP traffic to go through their own server.

In the SME 5.1.2 configuration, there is an option to setup a specific SMTP server to handle all SMTP traffic.

If your ISP has such a server, you may find it functional to set it up this way too.

Good luck.
