Title: Diald config and documentation
Post by: Andy MacDonald on May 16, 2002, 12:16:56 PM
Any diald configuring whips out there?
Basically, I'm on permanent connection via dial up. I need to make the connection not try to reconnect for 11 minutes after being kicked off. I've looked at the documentation for diald and it basically sucks. (you can read that as beyond my comprehension levels also, if you want)
Has anyone had experience with this sort of mod, or links to better diald documentation?

Nyah-ha. Some constant searching has explained it. Easier done than found.
Finally found the diald man page on line. Sussed out the right command eg redial-timeout and then figured out how to edit the template file.
Thanks to everyone who encouraged me to figure this out for myself, by not replying with the answer. I have gained confidence in my ability to tweak without hand holding. I appreciate your inaction and will endeavor to extend myself in this way in future. :)
