Title: SMTP-AUTH
Post by: Arby Edi on May 26, 2002, 07:29:07 AM
Has anyone tried to install/upgrade/change  the smtp in e-smith to an authorization needed one like smtp-auth or the version for qmail (if that's what is used in 5.1.2)?   I think the authorization by login would be perfect for openign up the smtp server to the outside and would only make it avail to actual users of the system wouldn't it?

SME Server does not listen to SMTP port using qmail, but Obtuse smtpd. qmail is only used to process mail received by obtuse smtpd.
