Ok, i finally got Mysql and phpmyadmin running on my e-smith, but I am having extreme difficulty connecting Dreamweaver and GoLive to the Database. The web site and Mysql are on the same server.
Is there any easier programs or suggestions on how to build a dynamic site. Does Mandrake work any better?
Thanks
Jason

What specific errors are you getting?
Please realize that Dreamweaver had almost zero support for PHP/MySQL up until Macromedia's release of MX a few days ago. What version are you using?
After having spent the past few weeks with a pre-release of MX I can tell you it works beautifully with SME as a testing server.
Cheers
OJ.

OJ,
Thanks. I am using MX beta release as well, but as I am a newbie to all of this I am havnig trouble with the setup. I think the error is something like:
your root folder doesn't map to the _mmserverscripts/.php file (some php file). Or your test server isn't running.
A.) I think I am a litle confused as to How I map my mysql dbase and then get it up and running.
Any help you could provide or perhaps point me in the direction of a step-by-step process would be great.
Thanls
