Did you use one of the SME-specific How-to docs? If you didn't, you are certain to have missed important elements.
Dan

Yes I used http://www.familybrown.org/howtos/imp-upgrade.html and http://www.familybrown.org/howtos/php-upgrade-howto-sme512.html
-
Is there anything I can do? Go back to the earlier version? Help, please! I cant find anything about this problem any other places!
-
What happened when you installed my e-smith-horde RPM?
-
I've got some error-messages, but I can't remember spesific. I've read that I should expect some error-messages during the installation, so I thaught the messages was "OK"
I guess I can search in the log files to find and read the errors? If that's possoble, can you give me an hint where to start searching?

Listen Mate,
Always listen to Dan Brown, he always has the right instructions, that would not have happened if you followed his instructions more carefully in the first place :))
It worked fine on our E-Smith SME server...

Try downloading the latest versions of e-smith-[horde,imp] from my contrib area and installing them, and let me know what happens.
-
Hi and thank's Dan Brown!
I downloaded : ftp://ftp.e-smith.org/pub/e-smith/contrib/DanBrown/RPMS/noarch/e-smith-imp-1.6.5dcb-1.noarch.rpm
and
ftp://ftp.e-smith.org/pub/e-smith/contrib/DanBrown/RPMS/noarch/e-smith-horde-1.4.5dcb-1.noarch.rpm
in a new dir, and " rpm -Uvh *"

By the way James, there was no problem upgrading to IMP 3 on my "Testserver" I use to test stuff. ;)
-
Looks like you've changed your MySQL root password. Bad idea.
-
Yes I know, but how could that happend? Can this be done by installing a rpm ealyer?
OK! I guess I have to restore the password ;(
But thank's anyway!
-
No RPM *SHOULD* change the MySQL root password, and none that I'm aware of does. If you take a look at /root/.my.cnf, that file contains the password that your system is trying to use.
-
OK! Now my MySQL root password is changed back, and when I
[root@sme new]# rpm -Uvh *

Thank you a lot!
