Title: Upgarding to IMP 3.1
Post by: James Phillips on June 02, 2002, 01:22:59 PM
Hello,

I know this is probably a Dan Brown question, does anyone know how I can possibly upgrade IMP to version 3.1???

IMP 3.1 has not yet been released.  When it is, I'll probably look at building RPMs for it, unless somebody else beats me to it.  If you want to play with the prerelease, probably the best way to do that is to first install the IMP 3.0 upgrade, and then overwrite the stuff in /home/httpd/html/horde/imp with the new version.  You'd be on your own, though.

So is the current version of 3.1 at http://www.horde.org/imp a prerelease? If so, that does not matter, it looks like it has adds all over it anyhow...

Yep, it's a prerelease (that's what the "RC" in the version number stands for, release candidate); the current released version is 3.0.  However, I've built an RPM of it anyway, which is pretty much untested and unsupported.  It'll be up in my contrib area on e-smith.org tonight.

If it works for you, great.  If it doesn't, let me know exactly what's happening, and I might be able to help.
