how can i redirect the 'webmail' pointer from IMP to another app like phpgroupware or twig??

You don't. you use the same same mail dir as imp.

what i mean is...

the way i understand it: server/webmail is a redirect to html/horde/imp (or something like that)

how do I change this pointer to point to: ibay/html/phpgroupware or ibay/html/twig

It is near the end of the httpd conf file.  Be sure to edit your template file, or when you make changes via the webmin interface, it will overwrite your custom entry.
