Hello!
Has someone compiled rpms of samba 2.2.4 for e-smith 5.1.2 or can i simply install the stock redhat 7.1 rpm from samba.org?
samba 2.2.4 corrects a logon error that happens when logging in from my w2k sp2 box, so i'm quite interested in installing it..
regards,

The latest beta of SME Server 5.5 (beta9) has Samba 2.2.4 in it. You can get the ISO from the FTP site.

i just looked into the iso:
\e-smith\RPMS\samba-client-2.2.3a-4.i386.rpm
\e-smith\RPMS\samba-2.2.3a-4.i386.rpm
\e-smith\RPMS\samba-common-2.2.3a-4.i386.rpm
is it possible the name and the content of the rpm differs?
