Ok this may be easier than I think, and I'm probaly just missing it. Everything runs great and has for sometime. Except my webmail has to be accessed through secure https connection. The reason I think is because I changed my apache listening port to 8080, which works fine for the primary port. The problem is 8080 doesnt let me have access to my ibays or my webmail. so i have to use https. now this wouldn't be a problem except i am now offering other people use of space. what I am wanting is to let another user have space for web/ftp/mail. as a temp fix I have just created a mydomain.com/user directory in primary and setup a forwarding with my DNS provider...if I could figure out why my webmail and ibays are not responding on 8080...i could get the rest. any suggestions where to look?

to clarify it seems only thing 8080 is working for is the primary folder.
