Title: Linear RAID or RAID0
Post by: Morten on June 20, 2002, 04:40:12 PM
Could someone enlighten me on the possibility of installing SME with a linear RAID or RAID0? Maybe a howto?

Does the HD's have to be equal? I have two disk of different sizes, and I would like to use them both to get more file storage space.

Or maybe there's another way I could use them both? I prefer space over speed - within reason, of course!

Thanks,
Morten

Hi Morten,

If you value your data, don't use RAID 0. If you lose one drive, you lose the data on both !

Search the forums on how to configure multiple hard drives on an SME server instead. This would be a much better option.
