Is there a way to set a specific time for the weekly blacklist update or do I just have to check the log and see when it does it?

Using squidGuard... I presume.

The default is to update each night.  If you want it to update weekly instead, you'll have to move /etc/cron.daily/supdate.cron to /etc/cron.weekly/supdate.cron

Also, it automatically sends an e-mail to the admin user of your SME server upon completion of the update.
