Title: standard user login services
Post by: Craig Jensen on July 10, 2002, 01:44:26 AM
Have a setup for running several game servers.  I would like to start them with a standard login rather than 'root'.  What can I do to allow for this service?

Message when attempting to login with one of my usernames from putty:
"Standard user login services have been disabled."

Thanks much

Craig

Do a search here for chsh; you should find the answer with that.

See this link: http://www.dungog.net/sme/howto/usershell.html
Works well in V5.1.2 and V5.5.

Thanks much.  I used Tibor's mentioned option.  Works great!
