Title: Imp 3.1 and quoted reply
Post by: Brad Jennings on July 13, 2002, 01:27:51 AM
Well, I know this isn't really an SME question, but I've looked everywhere under the sun for an answer.  I upgraded to Imp 3.1 using Dan Browns 3.1rpm.  Everything works great except whenever you reply to a message, it doesn't quote the senders message.  Any ideas on what I should try would be greatly appreciated.  BTW....I'm running 5.5

Try going to the Options screen, and select Message Composition.  Make sure the option to include the original message is checked.

That was the weird thing.....all that shows up in the message composition screen is............

Message Composition
Wrap text at this many characters.
How to prefix quoted lines in a reply:

Compose messages in a separate window.
Drafts folder:
Create a new drafts folder sent-mail
Should the compose window be closed after saving a draft?

The include origional message option is not there.  Is there a template file or something I should look at on the server?

By the way, I this machine was upgraded from 5.1.2 if that helps at all.  The other odd thing is that I upgraded a test machine from 5.1.2 to 5.5 and it is using the default imp 3.0.......and there is no option for quoting reply in the message comp. option either......but it automatically does reply.
