I Install SME 5.5. I noticed something very strange in my system when i try to test the raid system : the two boot partitions are on the same disk !!!
more details :
md0 is /boot on sda5 and sda6 :-(
md1 is / on sda7 and sdb5
md2 is swap on sda1 and sdb1
The two partition table are not symmetrical.
My server is an IBM Netfinity 3500 whith an Adaptec SCSI chip 7895. The two disk are not the same : one IBM DDRS-34560D (4,1 Go) and one DCAS-34330W
(4,3 Go). During the install, everything seems to be OK.
I'm not familiar with RAID but I suspect a real problem. Is there anything else to do during the install process ? How can i managed to have a real mirror ? Maybe something should be done in the Adaptec Bios ?
Any idea,
Thanks

first thing is when you use raid you should use a disk with the same size and capacity,,,try this first and you wont encounter any problem regarding raid and it should work fine...
