Title: new php?
Post by: Rory on July 24, 2002, 07:21:20 PM
If a new php for sme is posted, where will it be posted?  Will it be at

http://myezserver.com/downloads/mitel/

or  will it be a blade?  How does it work?

Thanks,

Rory

That depends on who posts it. If it's an official release from us, it'll be
made available in a blade (or in an upgrade!). If one of the developers
in the open-source community releases it, it'll be wherever they store
their software -- some store it on ftp.e-smith.org, others on their own
websites.

Unofficial PHP upgrades usually tend to come from Dan Brown, whose
website is at http://www.familybrown.org/ .  I don't believe that Darrell
May, whose URL you mentioned, has done PHP contribs, so you probably
won't see them there.

Cheers,

...and my contribs are also posted at ftp.e-smith.org, to save my paltry IDSL bandwidth.  Just to be clear, though, NO UPDATE IS NEEDED for a stock SME system with the current update blades applied.  The vulnerability only applies to PHP 4.2.0 and 4.2.1, which Mitel doesn't use.
