Title: netatalk problems?
Post by: Max on August 08, 2002, 10:15:29 PM
I have a customer using an sme5.1.2 server as a file server and he is having a lot of problems with Macs + photoshop + sme5.1.2 Namely files and directories are just disappearing. He is confident that his employees are not deleting the files, and in /var/log/messages I am seeing stuff like this:

multiserver afpd[30784]: WARNING: DID conflict for '56347-M/R Day.tif' and '56347'. Are these the same file?

lots of entries like that. I did a net search and it looks like it might be a problem in netatalk but I can find nothing that points to a fix. I tried changing the shared directory to permissions 2777 so that sub stuff will inherit ownership, but other then that I cannot find anything to try.
Also, he claims that he did not use to have these problems under e-smith4.1.2

Any help would be appreciated.
