Hi all,
Thanks in advance...
I am configuring my first SME server to use ETRN for e-mail retrieval. This server is a clean install. I upgraded this box from TurboLinux Server 6.0 where I had ETRN working using a simple shell script in crontab, so I know the ISP side (which is me) is working.
This is what I see in the maillog (repeats at the configured interval):
Aug 9 13:50:01 mail fetchmail[5245]: Node localhost not allowed: 459 4.5.2 Cannot resolve name to SMTP channel.
Aug 9 13:50:02 mail fetchmail[5245]: Query status=3 (AUTHFAIL)
However, DNS appears to work fine. If I manually issue the ETRN command:
[root@mail tmp]# telnet mail.ISP.com 25
Trying XXX.245.12.9...
Connected to mail.ISP.com.
Escape character is '^]'.
220 mail.ISP.com -- Server ESMTP (PMDF V6.1-1#9830)
ETRN mydomain.com
250 2.0.0 Delivery started on channel.
QUIT
221 2.3.0 Bye received. Goodbye.
Connection closed by foreign host.
Everything works.
The ETRN configuration on SME 5.5 seems VERY simplistic. Am I missing something?

Does ETRN work on SME 5.5?
How?
How to troubleshoot?
Thanks,
