Title: Should I Be Concerned?
Post by: Eric on August 14, 2002, 10:31:12 AM
I installed the apache-hits counter...
It says that I've had 4 CodeRed and 151 Nimda hits.

I don't run a mail server, and never plan to...does this affect my network in anyway?

Nup, it is still floating around. E-Smith is not vulnerable to these worms

Eric,

Apart from being a waste of bandwidth, code red and nimda can only affect unpatched Microsoft IIS servers. When nimda first struck last year I logged over 2000 hits on the first day on my server.
