Well here's the problem....I've got a printer hooked up to the SME and it's sharing a printer to 19 PC's running WinXP.....works great.
But I've got 9 macintosh computers that when I setup the the LPR printer on it errors out. I'm guessing that it's because they are macs and it's looking for authentication to print. Is there any way around this to just open the printer to the world to print?
Thanks

What printer do you have? What version of MacOS do you run? How did you configure the printer in MacOS? If you use the Desktop Printer Utility in MacOS, try setting up the printer as an Appletalk printer rather than an LPR printer. Your printer should also be visible and configurable from the Chooser. Is it?

It's a ricoh401 copier/printer...I think the original problem was the SME was setup as a domain controller....turn it off and the macs could print. I don't think I see it in the chooser though.

Very odd. But if it ain't broke now, don't fix it.
