Gidday, just wondering if it is possible to mimic what an exchange server does on a SME box? Is this included in Service Link? Basically I would love to have this functionallity but our company just cannot afford the exorborant prices for exchange!!!
Thanks in advance!

There's certainly no shortage of products that overlap in functionality with exchange.
SME can handle most peoples mail requirements out of the box but will require additional software to handle group collaberation and project management stuff.
A search of www.freshmeat.net or ximain.com would be a good place to start looking.

Check out Twiggi groupware. I got the latest version running on SME 5.1.2. It is web based and provides many of the Exchange features like a contact groups, shared group calendars, global email address book, to do list. It does not have public folders, but that is what ibays are for. Getting it working was slightly challenging, or you can purchase Twiggi preconfigured from myezserver.com for under 100 bucks.
Good luck,

We use and sell twiggi - very functional.
The other alternative is bynari insight server running on a redhat 7.2 box - then purchase insight connector for each outlook client ($US 29) and - bobs your uncle!!
