Applied update 2 to my 5.5 system today and thought I'd check out the RAV configuration - just opened up the config panel and re-saved it with no changes. Sure enough, the update's broken it.
ERROR: Load engine reports: 0x00008013!
aborted!
SUPERVISE: Please correct the above error(s) then start RAV
Any ideas on how to fix it?

Well that is strange. Luckily the system I have is a test system prior to creating a ghost image for deployment on several servers so I haven't broken an operational machine.
I tried the uninstall option given on Darrells site but it threw up a few error messages. Now if I try to uninstall it, error says the package is not installed - so I try to install it and it says I can't because the package is aready installed!
Gonna take the easy way out and reinstall SME from scratch, apply update 2 and then RAV after that. Half an hour at most instead of wasting the time of all you guys.
Thanks for the help and suggestions anyway - I must have done something wrong!
I should know better about applying large patches - I own a Cobalt RAQ and that's been trounced several times by official SUN patches.........................

You could always RPM -Uvh --force :)

Hi
I have had trouble on one machine getting to Server-Manager page since applying Update 2. So I will also check if RAV is failing.
