Title: disable internal mail server
Post by: Michiel de Jager on August 30, 2002, 07:06:59 PM
I have the following situation.
SME server = webmail.domain.com
mailserver   = mailsrv.domain.com

I want to use imp on the sme server, but still use the mailserver to send and receive.

I have changed the server.php of imp.
I can receive messages, view messages, send mail to another domain.
But when i send mail within the domain the sme server won't send it trough the mailserver and the mail never arrives.

How can i solve this, or what do i have to change more?

greetz

put the local IP address of your mail server in the "delagate mail server" input box on the server-manager's e-mail retrieval page.

We get so used to hacking away at the Commandline we forget to use the "GUI"

Indeed,

we always try to do it the difficult way, so we forget the easy way.
