Title: Fetchmail
Post by: Dmello on September 13, 2002, 09:35:08 AM
Hello
I've installed contributed e-smith-fetchmail rpm, now I see Mails users added to server-manager. One thing I didn't understand for what is the following option used for..

Do you want to enable directly mail routing  No Yes

Thanx in advance
Regards

This means that if you for instance use Outlook to also access another pop3 mail server from an ISP, your E-smith will not allow it. Al traffic to pop3 servers will be blocked.
Hope this answers your question

Now I know all the problems I had with port 110 and Outlook.  Why block 110.  anyway to avoid this so people can go and look for their mail without forcing to use fetchmail

If we select yes to "Do you want to enable direct mail routing" that should be enough for users to connect directly to POP3 servers
Correct me if I am wrong..
