Title: PPTP Max connections
Post by: Liam Dasey on September 15, 2002, 09:51:17 PM
I am getting the following message in the messages log on booting E-Smith.

Sep 15 17:33:12 stmail pptpd[1923]: MGR: Max connections reached, extra IP addresses ignored
Sep 15 17:33:12 stmail pptpd[1923]: MGR: Manager process started

Users that have been set up for a while are CAN log in, but NEW users CAN NOT - they get user name and password invalid for the domain. I have set the number of pptp clients to 999 and the passwd file is only 408 lines long.

I have checked the password by logging into webmain and samba.

As i recall pptp takes it's ip range from the upper end of the dhcp scope

try setting your dhcp scope as wideas possible
