AFAIK, the one button recovery feature relies on having what amounts to a bootable OS image on the tape.  I don't believe that flexbackup does this.

HP software is Tapeware.  Tapeware up to 6.30 SP2 supported Novell and Windows only for the recovery.  the new version of 6.30 SP3 supports Linux.  You will need to find serial number of your XE package and download SP3 and use the serial number.  If your HP is using the older 6.20 you need to buy the 6.30 upgrade.  Darrell May has a how to for tapeware on www.myezserver.com for installing tapeware on e-smith
