Has anyone successfully imported email address data into twiggi? Every format I've tried does not populate correctlty, and the online help doesn't.
I'm assuming the fields need to be in a specific order, but I get email addresses in the nickname field etc. If anyone has been successful, I'd like to hear how.
Thanks,

Des,
I have imported addresses by exporting my Outlook (2000) contacts folder to a windows .csv file. I then simply import that file using the twiggi email import. I think the key here is I am using the contacts folder, not the windows address book for my contacts. I can export all my contacts (100+) from Outlook and have them imported to twiggi within a couple of minutes. Of course, you then have to assign each address to a group and edit each to fill in missing data fields.
good luck,

Ryan,
I'm importing a CSV from Act!. I've used it to create an OE address book, a Netscape address book, and a Mozilla address book. Importing CSV or LDIF files from each one results in data in completely the wrong place, and a lot of the data missing. There seems to be no control over what is placed in what fields....
Thanks for your feedback.

Hi des
look in /opt/groupware/twiggi/features/contacts/import.defs
you will find a bunch of pre-defined import definitions
If you lay out your contacts (cut and paste in a spreadsheet?) to mimic say the outlook 98 definition or rework the definition to suit your csv you should get it to work.
have fun.. ..yeh right ! 8->
