Can e-smith be used as an internal mail server for a fictitious domain name, i.e., mycompany.com, which is not registered anywhere.? This would be used strictly for mail within the company. I suppose it can also be used as a file and print server internally, totally replacing the need for an NT server. I don't see why it couldn't, but I just wanted to make sure. I am not clear on how e-smith resolves names and was worried (in the case of email) if a fictitious domain name can be used.

Yes, no problem for internal usage only.
