Hi,
I've got a strange problem. I've got a 4.11 box still running here (upgrade 2 5.5 planned) but when I use my own usernamen on my XP-pro box I can logon with my roaming profile
But when I want to logon on a different name on the same machine it says "can not find network share"
I've checked the permissions and they are set to all the files to the correct user/group.
I'm out of options, has someone got a clue what to do??
Many thanks

I had no trouble until I upgraded Win XP with SP1. After a fallback all worked fine, but that took a couple of hours to get it :-)

Hi,
Is the other name a new user on the server? and has their password been set. :-)

I've solved the problem.
All things on the server seemed to be right.
With windows 2000 I didn't have a problem.
In the end I have given some more rights to the profiles directory. I have given read acces to the directory. Not in samba but in the directory it self.
Now it works fine in WinXP and 2000.
This is my solution for what it is.
