Title: Make/develpment HowTo?
Post by: Bill Talcott on September 19, 2002, 07:59:47 AM
The only one I can find is http://myezserver.com/downloads/mitel/howto/samba-development-howto.html but I was thinking there was another one around... I'm looking to install the stuff for make on a 5.0 server, so I can get the stunnel stuff setup for secure email...

Thanks in advance!

I guess what I really want to know is will the same files for 5.1.2 (http://myezserver.com/downloads/mitel/contrib/dev-tools/SME512/) work for 5.0?

SME 5.0 is based on Redhat 7.1 with a 2.2.19-7 kernel.

do a "rpm -qa | grep redhat-package" and compare version numbers to redhat's.  That will give you an indication as well of which packages have been modified.

That didn't return anything.

I thought 5.0 and 5.1.2 used the same kernel, and the kernel-source-2.2.19-7.0.8.i386.rpm in that dir seems to verify that. Is the kernel version the only thing I need to be concerned with when installing the development stuff?
