Title: samba - smb.conf
Post by: Stephen on September 20, 2002, 06:35:52 AM
The samba config file seems to be generated dynamically and from what I can deduce the source is the files in /etc/e-smith/templates/etc/smb.conf/ and
/etc/e-smith/templates-custom/etc/smb.conf/

When I add a file to the later it's content doesn't get incorporated....

What am I missing???

Hi,

You're missing the expand command

'/sbin/e-smith/expand-template /etc/smb.conf'
'service smb restart'

RequestedDeletion,
Thanks for the pointer.
Am I missing some documentation that would have clued me in?
Most of what I had figured out was just simple investigation and deduction.
