When switching Windows domains with Win2K it creates a new user profile which can be gotten back by a sinmple registry hack. However on a test XP system, I left a Win2K domain and joined the SME domain.
All went well except the reg hack would not work, so I know of no way to keep my old user profile on a SME domain.
That's my final hurdle before leaving Windows & Exchange for good.. Anyone know how to do it? There's 7 XP & 35 Win2K ,machines on the network so I'm hoping it's possible otherwise I can't migrate.
Cheers

Hi Gary, I could be wrong, or miss reading your post, but I thought the profile is kept local and copied accross at the end and start of a log in / log out.
If you have roaming profiles set to yes on your sme box this should copy over all files as long as you set up the user first on the sme box.
Hope this helps
