Title: RAV 8.4

Hi

I'm using sme 5.1.2 & rav 8.3 for the past year and its been brilliant, now im wondering whether i can upgrade to rav 8.4 is there any problems and where can i find the rpm's to do this.

Is anyone else using rav 8.4 successful on a production server?

From what I understand, there should be a 8.4 version coming out very soon for e-smith.  I've been checking with http://myezserver.com.  They have installation instructions for 8.3 and they said that there should be some for 8.4 soon.   Its not there yet, but I expect it before the end of the week.  I too have been using 8.3 and I really like it.  Can't wait to try the SPAM features of 8.4.  By the way, I just received my upgrade key to 8.4 from RAV just a few minutes ago.  Looks like we are just going to have to be a little bit patient.

There is currently a beta-test of 8.4 underway, we are at RC1 currently, so it shouldn't be too much longer.  Thanks to Darrell, it's looking very good & will be worth the wait...

Thanks Nick.  I've been very busy with the RAV 8.4.0 beta program and have not had the time to visit e-smith.org as often as I might like. I'm happy to report that the RAV 8.4.0 beta is now closed.
