Title: Setting up shares?
Post by: funraps on April 02, 2001, 09:02:04 AM
Hi,

I would like to map drives from a Windows box to the E-smith box.
I want to have all of the users access, even if they don't log in to the domain..
How is that done?

I would also like to know if I can setup Win98 to login to the e-smith's domain?

Thanx..

WIndows 98 logon:

Right-click network neighbourhoud. Select Properties, Client for Micro$oft networks, properties. There should be the domain-logon somewhere.

How do I setup shares on the e-smith box though?
Any ideas?
I want to make it act like a file server...

Right-click on network-neighbourhood, then click make network-connection (or something like that, I am using a non english windows)

You can map drives to the e-smith shares this way.

Oh, sorry,

You mean make shares on the e-smith box???

You do that by making i-bays on the e-smith box through the e-smith manager at 192.168.1.1/e-smith-manager.
