Title: checkpoint vpn-1 secure remote
Post by: gary on October 07, 2002, 10:12:57 PM
How can we make checkpoint's vpn-1 secure remote software work with e-smith?

Are you talking about the client or the server?  I use the client and it works really well, I use the e-smith box as private server-gateway.

Cheers,

Jehu.

It's the checkpoint client software from behind the server.  I use esmith 4.1.2.

It work well with 5.1.2 and 5.5.  These are the only ones I have tried.
You may want to upgrade or wait until someone post an answer for 4.1.2.

Cheers,

Jehu.

This is the fix I used under 4.1.2 to connect from my internal (at home) PC through e-smith 4.1.2 server to a Nortel VPN at work.

Hey that's great.  Was there anything else that you did to make it work?

Open UDP Port 500 in your masq template.  Or use DM's Port Open panel.  It's just that easy.
