Title: domain names .ca and .com

Hello

does anyone know if you have your server as a .com domain and add a virtual server with a .ca extension should it all work ?

i can see the page locally but outside network get gateway timeout errors
and no email is coming in

any suggestions

I would think it does, other wise it probably would have been reported long ago.  I have a .net as a primary domain, with .ca's and .com's in virtual domains and they work fine.  I'd start looking at DNS settings, what is the working .com and non-working .ca domains so we can check dns for you?

dads.ca does not

DNS for dads.ca isn't correctly set up.

where should i look
i have a dns company doing the dns pointing for me and i believe all the settings are the same as datastorms.com
please let me know where i should look

derek,

www.datastorms.com resolves to your shaw cable account with an ip address of 24.66.152.192 while www.dads.ca doesn't resolve to any ip address...  you should point your dads.ca account at tucows to the same ip address.

i think that i have got this all sorted out with tucows etc but dont belive its working
any other ideas on this one ???
driving me insane and i have to get this domain working
