Title: webshare explanation
Post by: Ray Mitchell on October 15, 2002, 08:03:38 AM
I saw Webshare on Shad Lords site http://lordsfam.net/downloads/production/.

The brief description is "A package that adds secure web-based shares for external collaboration. This package was put together by the devinfo community with major players being Darrell May, Jon Blakely, and Garret. Thanks guys."

Could Shad or someone elaborate a little more and explain what webshare will do.
Thanks

If I remember correctly it provided secured (password protected) http(s) based upload directories on the SME server. With a fairly nice front end inside the e-smith control panel (web based).

Thanks Garret
That's just what I need, I have downloaded and installed it and it works very nicely on v5.5 update2.

Can anyone tell me where the webshare folders and files are located on the sme server ? I have had a look using mc but cannot find them.
Is it possible to access these webfolders using Windows Explorer browsing ?

Thanks
